You may be eligible if you meet the following:

  • Lived lawfully in Australia for 4 years immediately before applying.
  • Held PR or an eligible SCV for the last 12 months.
  • Were not outside Australia for more than 12 months in the last 4 years, and not more than 90 days in the last 12 months.
  • Meet character and, if applicable, pass the citizenship test.

Some exemptions and discretion apply in special cases.
